Airboat ride, Joe Overstreet Rd and Landing
On Day 1, I went on an airboat ride to and a Snail Kite, Mottled Ducks and a lone Roseate Spoonbills were the highlights, this was near Kissimmee State Park. From there, in search of Brown-headed Nuthatches, took a wrong turn at the back entrance of Three Lakes WMA (of course I didn't see them!), but got to see lots of Eastern Meadowlarks! From there I drove through Joe Overstreet towards Joe Overstreet Landing hoping to see a Red-cockaded Woodpecker. But since it was the wrong time of the day didn't find any!! Nothing interesting on the road itself (no Scissortailed Flycatchers etc!!), but the Landing was amazing! Tons of various kinds of birds. That was the last stop and while heading back, got a small glimpse of the Brown-headed Nuthatch, unfortunately, no photos!
